How Soel Love created the story of Ben the Bear Children's Books
How Ben the Bear was born
In February 2023, I read about a bear in a local zoo who kept escaping his habitat. Intrigued, I googled the bear and sure enough, he had escaped twice in the month. Fascinated with this little bear's curiosity for the world around him, I knew this needed to be a book.
The next day, while spending quiet time with God, I felt the poem in my heart and one hour later, I created the story. It was completed. Ben the Bear story was real. I couldn't contain my excitement! I read it to several people and they loved it too!
That very weekend I made the initial sketches for the book and then Monday I surprised my son's 2nd-grade class with the first read. If the book was good, the children would tell me and if it was not, I knew they would be brutally honest. Well, they loved it!
So, here we are May 2023 and the book is ready to read by all! I am truly blessed beyond measure to write such a fun book. My gratitude is overflowing.
