Thank you Mrs. Unger's last 2nd Grade Class for testing the book

Mrs. Unger's last 2nd Grade Class receiving their personally inscribed books.
When I was inspired to write the first book, "Ben's Great Escape", I wrote it and illustrated it over one weekend. I immediately messaged my son's 2nd Grade Teacher to ask if she would be willing to allow me to read the book on that Monday to kick off the reading week at school. She agreed.
I nervously drove the few miles to my son's school on that bright and sunny Monday with my newly sketched book in hand. My son had no idea I had written a book over the weekend because he was at his Dad's. I sat in the rocking chair and read to the students. They were so enamored with the fun story about the bear who had been in our news. I said, "They end" and they broke out in applause.
I knew that if I could gain the approval of very honest 2nd graders, this book would be a success! So, I continued on the publishing journey and finished the series.
Thank you to Mrs. Unger's last 2nd Grade Class for being the best guinea pigs any author could ask for. Your sweet words of encouragement about finishing the books and ideas on how you could be thanked were priceless.
Just as I said while delivering the books to you in person, never forget to finish what you started. You, dear children, were the reason I worked so diligently to get these completed and printed before the end of your school year. It was a goal I needed to make sure I met. Words will never be able to express my gratitude for all of you. Thank you all for testing the book. May you always remember to be creative and shoot for the stars!!
